In this week heading into Veteran's Day, Concorde's campus in Aurora, Colo. hosted Smiles for Vets. It's a program that offers free dental hygiene and dental care for veterans of U.S. armed forces. Along with providing veterans in the Aurora/Denver area with many free dental services, it also made the same services available to immediate family members of veterans at half price.

Free dental care services offered included a comprehensive exam by a dentist, dental cleanings, X-rays, periodontal cleaning (deep cleanings) and fluoride treatments. All work was performed by Concorde Aurora campus dental hygiene students under the close supervision of a dentist and college faculty.

Concorde Aurora campus Dental Hygiene program Director Diane Osso said, for the day, 14 veterans were seen for X-rays, dental examinations, and cleanings. This equated to approximately $2,500 in free dental care.

Concorde loves our veterans and was pleased to offer this free service to vets in the Aurora/Denver area.
