Concorde Career Colleges today announced the promotion of Destry Lievanos to president of the San Diego campus. Lievanos has served as academic dean of the campus since 2019, and his role was expanded to director of operations in January 2024.

“Destry has consistently stood out as a leader committed to student success and operational excellence. His collaborative and engaging leadership style has earned him respect among his colleagues —both in San Diego and across Concorde—and we could not be more pleased to have Destry fill the role of campus president,” said Kevin Prehn, president of Concorde Career Colleges.

As the San Diego campus director of operations and academic dean, Lievanos played an integral role in the successful outcomes at the school. With the support of his leadership, the San Diego campus earned a 2024 Excellence in Community Service silver award from the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools, and back-to-back internal “Campus of the Year” recognitions.

Lievanos brings more than 20 years of higher education experience, including more than 14 years in leadership roles which gave him extensive exposure to all facets of campus operations. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Management from Kaplan University.

He fills the vacancy left by Rachel Saffel, who was recently promoted to regional vice president of operations–startups.
