EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

As a member of the military community, you and/or your family may qualify to apply your veteran/military benefits to help fund your education. Talking with a Concorde financial aid specialist can help you define a personal funding plan to fit your goals.

We can answer questions you may have about the financial aid process and help you identify which tuition assistance options you may qualify. There are multiple resources that you and/or your family may be eligible; from Federal Tuition Assistance to service branch specific and National Guard and Reserves resources, as well as military discounts. CONCORDE MTS PROGRAM

In addition to the educational benefits that you receive, Concorde is now offering a Military Tuition Support (MTS) Program for military spouses and dependents. A good education is essential for a career, so we hope your family takes advantage of these education benefits.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

$1,000 military tuition assistance available, plus all registration fees waived for:

  • Military spouses of active duty, active guard, reserves and veterans
  • Children and step-children of active duty, active guard, reserves and veterans up to the age of 24

  • Spouses: Service Members military ID
  • Children: Service Members military ID

FAQ

HOW DO I USE MY MILITARY TUITION SUPPORT?

Military Tuition Support is for service members that are Active Duty or in the Reserves. Those seeking support must meet with their Educational Services Officer (ESO) through the military, prior to enrolling, for approval.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR MILITARY TUITION SUPPORT?

Each branch of of the U.S. Military has its own process, but typically you would meet with your Educational Services Officer (ESO) prior to enrolling to get specific branch approval and then meet with your campus Financial Aid Advisor and/or Certifying official(s) during the enrollment process. Part of the process will include completing the required paperwork depending on your branch of the military.

WHEN DO I NEED TO SUBMIT MY TUITION SUPPORT FORM?

First, an Educational Services Officer (ESO) must approve the potential student prior to enrolling into the program and each course. Second, that approval should be submitted to the Financial Aid Advisor and/or Certifying Official at the campus during the enrollment process.

CAN I USE MY MILITARY TUITION SUPPORT FOR ALL OF CONCORDE'S PROGRAMS?

Yes, all programs are eligible for use of tuition support once a student has met admissions requirements.

IF I FAIL A COURSE AND NEED TO REPEAT IT, WILL MY MILITARY TUITION SUPPORT PAY FOR THE REPEAT COURSE?

Whether course repeats are covered by Military Tuition Support depends on a variety of factors and you should talk with your Educational Services Officer (ESO) and school Financial Aid/Certifying Official to determine the circumstances of your case. Also, note that if you fail a course you may need to repay the funds used for that course.

IS CONCORDE AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL?

Yes. Concorde Career Colleges are institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national accrediting body. ACCSC is located in Arlington, Virginia. www.accsc.org.

DOES CONCORDE HELP PLACE STUDENTS AFTER GRADUATION?

Yes. Concorde offers valuable assistance to help you find that all-important health care job. We help with finding open positions within your field of study and assist with preparing and submitting your resume. Your advisor will also provide valuable information on a variety of job opportunities for the length of your career.

MONTGOMERY GI BILL®

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government Web site at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.

The Montgomery GI Bill® (MGIB) is available to those who enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces. There are two main programs:

  • Montgomery GI Bill® Active Duty (MGIB-AD) For active duty members who enroll and pay $100 per month for 12 months and are then entitled to receive a monthly education benefit once they have completed a minimum service obligation.
  • Montgomery GI Bill® Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR) For Reservists with a six-year obligation in the Selected Reserve who are actively drilling.

POST-9/11 GI BILL®

If you have at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service after Sept. 10, 2001, and are still on active duty, or if you are an honorably discharged Veteran or were discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days, you may be eligible for this VA-administered program.

YELLOW RIBBON PROGRAM

A part of the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program makes additional tuition assistance available to eligible veterans whose tuition costs more than the highest in-state undergraduate tuition.

  1. Program length may be subject to change dependent on transfer credits and course load. Please refer to current course catalog for more information. Concorde does not guarantee admittance, graduation, subsequent employment or salary amount.

  2. Professional certification is not a requirement for graduation, may not be a requirement for employment nor does it guarantee employment.

  3. Financial aid is available to those who qualify but may not be available for all programs. Concorde does not guarantee financial aid or scholarship awards or amounts.

  4. Clinical hour requirements and delivery may vary by campus location and may be subject to change. Concorde does not guarantee clinical site assignments based upon student preference or geographic convenience; nor do clinical experiences guarantee graduation, post-clinical employment or salary outcomes.

  5. Registration and certification requirements for taking and passing these examinations are not controlled by Concorde, but by outside agencies, and are subject to change by the agency without notice. Therefore, Concorde cannot guarantee that graduates will be eligible to take these exams, at all or at any specific time, regardless of their eligibility status upon enrollment.
