The North Hollywood college campus location originated as Valley College of Medical and Dental Careers in 1955, offering medical and dental assistant programs. During the 1960s, additional programs were added, including an LVN program in 1966 and a Respiratory Therapy program in 1969. In February 1991, the school added a Surgical Technology program to its roster. Concorde Career Colleges Inc. acquired the college in 1986, and in 1989, the campus name changed to Concorde Career Institute. In September 1997, the campus moved to its current location on Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood. Approval to grant Associate’s Degrees occurred in 1999. On August 15, 2005, the campus name changed to Concorde Career College.

BUREAU FOR PRIVATE POSTECONDARY EDUCATION (BPPE)
Concorde Career College is a private institution that has been granted approval to operate by the Bureau for Private Post-secondary Education (BPPE). The institution’s approval to operate as a private post-secondary institution in the State of California is based on provisions of the California Private Post-secondary Education Act (CPPEA) of 2009 (California Education Code, Title 3, Division 10, Part 59, Chapter 8), which is effective January 1, 2010.
