Concorde National Dean of Nursing Marlo Robinson appointed as consultant to National Student Nurses Association Board

The National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) recently appointed Marlo Robinson, DNP, JD, RN, national dean of nursing at Concorde Career Colleges, as National League for Nursing (NLN) Consultant to the NSNA Board of Directors. In this role, Dr. Robinson will help shape the next generation of nurses by providing guidance and mentorship to future nursing leaders.

“Having the privilege to serve in this capacity is a dream come true. As the NLN Appointed Consultant to the NSNA Board of Directors, I am gifted with the opportunity to fervently serve future nurse leaders, work with colleagues who put service in leadership first and continue to build upon the legacy of strong advocacy for our profession,” Dr. Robinson shared in the NSNA press release about her appointment.

At Concorde, Dr. Robinson has served as national dean of nursing since 2018, where she oversees 13 nursing programs nationwide, including Practical/Vocational Nursing, Pre-Licensure Nursing, and the online RN to BSN. Dr. Robinson provides individualized support to nursing graduates as they prepare to sit for the national nursing licensure exam and enter the nursing profession. She also serves as co-chair of Concorde’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

She is an active member of the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing and serves as a commissioner of the inaugural taskforce for the Central States Private Education Network’s Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce. Dr. Robinson mentors nursing students during their capstone course at historically black colleges and universities through partnerships with the National League for Nursing and Johnson & Johnson's "Step into Leadership" program.

Dr. Robinson is also the founder and owner of Mother's Care Doula Services, which serves as a full-service birth, postpartum and childbirth education provider in South Florida. She has spoken at numerous national conferences and remains a licensed attorney and active member of the Florida Bar.

Dr. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Purdue University Global.
