What you can learn

This immersive program shows you how to effectively serve the needs of operating physicians and other medical personnel before, during and after surgery. Coursework teaches you how to:

  • Pass instruments, supplies and equipment to surgeons
  • Provide patient care
  • Count sponges, needles and instruments
  • Sterilize equipment and tools
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures
