As a pharmacy technician, you can play a vital role in your community as a pharmacy consumer advocate, serving immediate and long-term health needs and goals. You are the bridge between consumers and pharmacists, whether you are filling prescription orders or representing pharmacists in answering questions about medications.

What you can learn

At Concorde, our pharmacy technician classes prepare students to directly apply classroom knowledge to a work setting through a combination of theory and hands-on training experiences. Our new “hybrid” program offers theory coursework online, allowing students to absorb lecture material on their own schedule, at their convenience. Curriculum focus areas include:

  • Collecting patient information
  • Computer skills and software programs
  • Medication preparation, distribution and storage
  • Pharmacy equipment and facilities maintenance
  • Prescriptions/medications orders and reviews

Career outlook*
