The Job Network recently listed its "10 of the Most In-Demand Jobs". The good news for Concorde students, alumni, and prospective students was that three jobs on the list are Concorde programs. Let's take a look at some of the best job opportunities.

Hot health care jobs

Occupational Therapist Assistant- According to the Job Network, health care careers will continue to see increased demand. The baby boomer population is aging and requiring more health care. One of the most in-demand fields will be occupational therapy assistant. OTAs are responsible for working with licensed therapists to implement therapy plans for patients. They help patients recover from illness or injury, developing and strengthening the skills they'll need for daily living. What you'll need: An associate's degree from a certified allied health program. Most states also require occupational therapist assistants to be licensed, so check your state's requirements. Registered Nurse- Nurses have been in the news lately because there's a shortage of qualified nurses out there. In a health care field that continues to grow, it's a good career opportunity for someone interested in patient care. What you'll need: An associate or bachelor's degree in nursing, or a certificate from an accredited allied health program in nursing. Nurses also need to be licensed. Pharmacy Technician- Becoming a pharmacy tech is another way to break into health care if patient care isn't really your thing. They work in pharmacies (stores, hospitals, clinics, or other settings) to dispense prescription medication to customers or health professionals. What you'll Need: An associate degree from a certified allied health program. However each State regulates pharmacy technicians, so be sure to check your states requirements. Options can include passing an exam or completing a formal education or training program.

A few other hot jobs on the list were: Fitness Trainer, Personal Financial Advisor, Computer Software Engineer, Biomedical Engineer, Market Research Analyst, Environmental Engineering Technician and Skin Care Specialist.
