Did you know that in 1912, the average life expectancy was 53 years old? Today, using the most recent data available, it hovers in the neighborhood of 78 years.

With the U.S. population living longer, 2015 being the year of the digital fitness tracker and more health care reforms on the horizon, there's been no better time to explore a career in health care.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects that health care support occupations are projected to increase 28.1 percent from 2012 to 2022, the fastest growth of any major occupational group.

Much like the health care practitioners group, according to the BLS, more than half of job openings leading to a career in health care support occupations are expected to be a result of new jobs rather than of openings resulting from replacement needs.

When we look at the growing need our society will demand from these positions, it begs the question: If not you, who will answer the call?

Take a look at our award-winning campaign that drives this point home from the eyes of patients and providers alike.

As demand for these fields grow, so will the competition among applicants for open positions.

While some positions might not require post-secondary education, it is often seen by employers as a distinguishing factor that helps cut down on training time, increases productivity and leads to better patient care and satisfaction.

At Concorde, we're dedicated to preparing committed students for successful employment in a rewarding health care profession through high-caliber training, real world experience and student-centered support.

What does that mean? It means that our programs are institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, designed to be laser-focused and delivered by distinguished educators who have a passion to equip the next generation of America's health care professionals.

“Without the support of certain instructors … I would not have pushed myself to grasp the concepts and pass my boards on the first attempt. Once I passed my boards, it was less than one month after that I landed my first Respiratory Therapist job where I am currently working with so much joy every day.”
