Job description

Polysomnographic technologists support physicians in critical diagnoses of sleep disorders. You will gather and analyze patient information to ensure appropriate sleep tests are performed. Technologists explain testing procedures to clients and calibrate and prepare equipment. During sleep testing, you will monitor brain waves, eye movements, muscle activity, breathing and blood oxygen levels using recording equipment. Following diagnoses, you will assist patients in using sleep equipment such as a positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting and/or other treatment-related applications.
