Medical Assisting

Achieve an Associate Degree in as few as months*

Medical assisting (MA) provides a critical role in the everyday operations of doctor’s offices, clinics and healthcare facilities. MAs interact with patients when taking medical histories and vital signs, preparing them for procedures and explaining different experiences during their visit.

A career path that sustains family and community

The Medical Assisting program prepares students for real world issues using hands-on classes and externships that teach skills needed to make an impact. You will learn scheduling and receiving patients, preparing and maintaining medical records, infection control and much more. The Medical Assisting program is offered at both our Southaven and Memphis campuses.
