BlueCross Power of We Scholarship

NASHE Blue Cross Scholarship 2022

The BCBST Diversity Scholarship is now the BlueCross Power of We Scholarship!!

In 2012, the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation established the scholarship to address the historic lack of opportunity and health disparities, including underrepresentation in the medical field, that minority populations face. Since then, the scholarship program has helped more than a dozen promising students continue their studies in the fields of nursing, medical technology, pharmacy, and more.

The scholarships are presented in partnership with us, the Memphis Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives.

Six $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to three minority, undergraduate college students pursuing health care careers within the state of Tennessee.

"These scholarships help outstanding minority students to achieve continued academic success," said Ron Harris, Vice President of Workforce Diversity for BlueCross BlueShield of TN. "And in addition to that, this program serves to increase diversity in the health care field."
