At Concorde, it's no secret that we're passionate about learning and community service!

What about you? Do you remember the excitement of getting your class assignment and school supply list at the close of summer?

Your list came with so many important decisions: the gel glue or white Elmer's glue, a plain notebook or one with a character cover? Amongst all these questions, as a youngster, one was likely not: How am I going to pay for all this?

If you don't have kiddos, you'd likely be surprised by the sheer length of this year's standard lists. Many sources easily price average lists between $95-$120 a child - not including clothes, shoes, etc.

Supplies typically cost more than that, as many families put their purchases on credit cards and then make minimum payments.

As a Concorde community, we want to see our deep-seated love of learning, as well as our commitment to community service, instilled in children from an early age. We know that's where dreams are dreamt, friends are made and futures find roots.

This year, several of our campuses had drives to stuff backpacks, boxes and even busses with supplies for youngsters in their communities.

Whether it was driving up after a long day of work with a bag of supplies or taking time over their lunch break to meet the Southaven, Miss. RiverKings Semi-Professional Hockey team's mascot, folks from around the community partnered with us to make each community service event a success.
